(4/28/2011-Elkridge, MD) – On Thursday April 21, 2011 E-Structors, Inc. received the “Better with Less” award from MD State Comptroller Peter Franchot.
The newly created “Better with Less” awards are presented to a single business from each county in the State of MD that has:
- - Achieved economic success while using fewer resources
- Identified new market opportunities in the current economic climate
- Used innovation to operate more efficiently or strengthened local communities by providing vital services or opportunities for success
The comptroller’s office received nominations for approximately 100 different organizations, but it was the nominations from MakingCHANGE and Convergence Technology Consulting which lead the comptroller’s office to select E-Structors, Inc. as the recipient for Howard County.
Following the presentation President Mike Keough and CEO Julie Keough where given the opportunity take Comptroller Franchot and Howard County Council members Calvin Ball, Byron Macfarlane, and Courtney Watson on a tour of the E-Structors facility. Topics of discussion included electronics recycling, social responsibility at E-Structors, commitments to a diverse work place, and the state government’s electronics recycling practices.
