Are you environmentally compliant?
The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), commonly known as the Superfund Law, was passed by Congress on December 11, 1980. Essentially, this law permits the EPA to clean up contaminated sites and bill the responsible parties for the cost.
What does this mean for your business?
The computers and electronics that your company disposes of contain asset tags and serial numbers. If your company’s electronic waste is identified in a contaminated site, you will receive a bill from the EPA.
How to protect yourself
At FTK Group, your equipment and data are completely destroyed and recycled, including all serial numbers and asset tags (we even give you a Certificate of Destruction for your records). Once destroyed via our approved process, the resulting material is separated and 100% recycled. Nothing resulting from our process ever enters the nation’s waste stream.
